NEW COMMIT: Greensboro, North Carolina native and Junior National qualifier Dax Harris has committed to the University of Alabama and will join the Crimson Tide’s Class of 2026.
He will join Tanner Jones, Drayden Bell, Connor Little and John Hayes in Tuscaloosa at the start of the 2022-23 season.
His best times include:
- 200 free – 1:39.48
- 500 free – 4:28.55
- 1000 free – 9:22.80
- 1650 free – 15:52.65
A talented mid/distance freestyler, Harris does his club swimming with Greensboro YMCA and most recently raced four events at the Speedo Winter East Championships last month. This past summer, he collected two golds and a pair of silver medals at the NC LCM Senior Championships.
Also competing for Grimsley High School, Harris is a four-time individual North Carolina 4A State Championship finalist. He placed second in the 200 free and third in the 500 free as a junior while taking fifth and 11th, respectively, in those events during his sophomore season.
