LINCOLN, Nebraska, October 16. IN a big score for the Auburn Tigers, Greater Omaha’s Jacob Molacek has decided to call Auburn, Ala., home following his senior year of high school at Creighton Prep High. Molacek committed to head coach Brett Hawke today.
Molacek, the seventh-ranked recruit in the Class of 2014 by CollegeSwimming.com, is a breaststroker with some IM ability.

Molacek, the top ranked recruit in Nebraska, will be an impact player in the sprint medleys for Auburn. He owns a 22.24 50-yard back leadoff from the Nebraska State High School Championships, and also has a 55.05 in the 100-yard breast to his credit. Not to mention, he has some IM versatility as well with a 1:48.47 in the 200-yard IM.
He dropped some strong long course meter times at the 2013 Speedo Junior Nationals this summer with a 1:02.92 in the 100-meter breast and a 2:18.81 in the 200-meter breaststroke. He also clocked a 50.60 in the 100-meter free at Juniors as well., and also clocked a 29.18 in the 50-meter breaststroke at U.S. Nationals.
