NISCA Releases National Dual Meet Rankings; Santa Margarita Girls, Hinsdale Central Boys Top Teams
The National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (NISCA) has posted its annual list of dual meet rankings, a program designed to rank the top high school teams based on how they would perform in dual meets against similar schools, which are divided based on enrollment and public vs. private.
The list for the 2023-24 high school season features 170 entrants, with 74 girls teams and 96 boys teams from 29 states, and the top teams overall were Santa Margarita Catholic High School from California (girls) and Hinsdale Central High School in Indiana (boys). Upper Arlington (Ohio) was the only school to top boys and girls in their respective division.
Coaches from around the country entered their top dual-meet lineup into the application, and they could use times from any meet throughout the season for consideration in these rankings.
Winners include:
- Class 1 (Boys Public, 1-900): San Marino (Ca.)
- Class 2 (Boys Public, 901-1499): Western Albemarle (Va.) – repeat winner
- Class 3 (Boys Public, 1401-1900): Upper Arlington (Ohio) – repeat winner
- Class 4 (Boys Public, Over 1900): Hinsdale Central (Ill.) – repeat winner
- Class 5 (Girls Public, 1-900): Wayland High School (Ma.)
- Class 6 (Girls Public, 901-1400): Upper Dublin (Pa.)
- Class 7 (Girls Public, 1401-1900): Upper Arlington – fourth straight win
- Class 8 (Girls Public, Over 1900): The Woodlands (Texas)
- Class 9 (Boys Independent, 1-900): McCallie School (Tenn.)
- Class 10 (Boys Independent, Over 900): St. Xavier (Ky.)
- Class 11 (Girls Independent, 1-900): Sacred Heart (Ky.) – repeat winner
- Class 12 (Girls Independent, Over 900): Santa Margarita (Calif.,) – fourth straight win
