Nick Cavic Wins Four 10-and-Under Events at SW Fall Classic (Watch Races)
Saturday afternoon at the Swimming World Fall Classic in Bristol, R.I., Bluefish swimmers Nick Cavic and Zuri Ferguson posted multiple wins in the 10-and-under age group.
Cavic won the 10-and-under boys’ 200 IM (2:23.72), 50 free (27.48), 100 fly (1:08.03) and 100 back (1:07.58). Cavic was utterly dominant throughout all of his events.
In the girls’ races, Zuri Ferguson won three events: the 50 free (27.08), 100 fly (1:09.59) and 100 back (1:09.14). The other 10-and-under winners were Infinity’s Izzy Balboni in the girls’ 200 IM (2:31.74) and 50 breast (36.32) and Bluefish’s Thomas Lenston in the boys’ 50 breast (39.21).
12-and-under preliminary action saw James Misto take the top seed for finals in all three of his events, the 50 free, 100 fly and 100 back. Misto, his fellow 11-12s and a collection of senior swimmers will highlight the finals session, scheduled to begin at 6:15 p.m. ET in Bristol.
