New Jersey’s Lindi Worrell Commits to Cincinnati For 2023-24
NEW COMMIT: The University of Cincinnati has received a new verbal commitment for the 2023-24 season and beyond from freestyler/breaststroker Lindi Worrell of Mount Holly, New Jersey.
Lindi comes from a long line of collegiate swimmers. Her oldest sister, Kelsi Worrell Dahlia, swam at Louisville and was on the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team. Her brother, Kyle, also swam for the Cardinals and her other sister, Taylor, competed for South Carolina.
Regarding her commitment, she said:
“I am SO grateful, and extremely excited to finally announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at the University of Cincinnati!!!! Huge thank you to my family, friends, teammates, and coaches for supporting me through this process! Go Bearcats!! ❤️?”
Her best times include:
- 50 free – 23.95
- 100 free – 53.19
- 200 free – 1:54.05
- 100 breast – 1:05.27
- 200 breast – 2:24.71
Currently a senior at Rancocas Valley Regional High School, Worrell placed 12th in the 50 free and 19th in the 100 breast at the New Jersey Meet of Champions last season.
Worrell will add valuable depth when she suits up for the Bearcats next season both individually and on relays. Her top 50 free time would’ve ranked sixth on the roster last season, just shy of making their 4×50 free relay squad that earned bronze at the 2022 American Athletic Conference Championships.
