NEW COMMIT: Allie Emery of Sandpipers of Nevada has given her verbal commitment to the University of the Pacific. She’s a senior at Palo Verde High School in Las Vegas.

At last year’s Nevada 4A High school state championships Emery won the 50 freestyle (23.83) and finished second in the 100 free (51.73). She also anchored the team’s winning 200 freestyle relay and it’s second place 400 freestyle relay. The team swept the 4A state crowns.

She told Swimming World,

“I ended up picking pacific because I feel this is the best place for me to grow in and outside of the pool while being surrounded by amazing teammates and coaches.”

Emery is a strong freestyler across the board. Her best times are:

  • 50 Free 23.83
  • 100 Free 51.73
  • 200 Free 1:52.41
  • 500 Free 4:58.62
  • 1000 Free 10:08.75

Miranda Padilla is also verbally committed to the University’s Class of 2022. Emery’s club teammates Erica SullivanGrace Siebmann, and Dylan Sweikert have also given verbal commitments to college programs.
