Nebraska Falls To University of Louisville; 124-114
Louisville, Ky.- Despite winning six of 13 events, the Nebraska swimming and diving tem fell to the University of Louisville Saturday afternoon 124-114 at Crawford Pool in Louisville.
Two Huskers each won a pair of events, senior Yasmin Saad and sophomore Jerilyn Drummond.
Saad, a senior from Omaha, took home titles in both the 100- (55.71) and 200-yard (2:00.95) freestyle events.
Drummond swept both the one- (119.5) and the three-meter (133.05) springboard events.
Freshman Diana Torres also came up victorious for NU, taking the 200-yard butterfly in 2:09.83, nearly 20 seconds ahead of Louisville's Brooke Morgan who finished second in 2:29.72. Torres also finished second in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:48.61.
Junior Laura Landgreen added an individual title in the 200-yard breaststroke, touching the wall in 2:34.70.
Nebraska returns to the Bob Devaney Sports Center to wrap-up the regular season with a dual against Iowa State on Friday, Feb. 1 at 4 p.m.
