Though the members of the National Club Swimming Association’s (NCSA) squad that attended the Irish Open were initially not happy about having to do a workout at the end of Sunday’s session to conclude the meet, the excitement level built throughout the hour-long practice at the National Aquatic Centre.
Swimming World’s Jeff Commings was on deck to capture some of the moments with the athletes on video, including the sets given to the swimmers. The best part was a nailbiting game of Rock, Paper, Scissors between James Murphy and Lindsay Stone which would determine which gender got to finish the practice early.
Men’s head coach Dave Krotiak gives the warmup, with a team cheer led by men’s co-captain Zach Fong:
Coach Jeremy Linn gives an interesting set of 25s
Coach Paul Silver gives the next set, 10×75
The much-anticipated Rock, Paper, Scissors battle between James Murphy and Lindsay Stone. The person who won the best two of three gave their gender the ability to end the workout early while the other gender continued swimming
