The 100 butterfly is stacked with several contenders, led by defending champion Josh Liendo of Florida. Fellow Canadian Olympian Ilya Kharun will be looming as well as U.S. Olympian Luca Urlando of Georgia and the NCAA champion two years ago Andrei Minikov of Stanford.
Texas sophomore Rex Maurer is the top seed in the 400 IM and familiar faces Baylor Nelson of Texas A&M and Georgia’s Jake Magahey are in the picture.
The 200 free looks to be a battle between Texas stars Luke Hobson, Chris Guiliano and Tennessee’s Jordan Crooks.
The 100 breaststroke features two sub-50 swimmers this year in Florida senior Julian Smith and Indiana senior Finn Brooks.
The 100 backstroke features some young guns with Florida sophomore Jonny Marshall and Texas sophomore Will Modglin with the top two seeds. Texas junior Hubert Kos will definitely have something to say about it.
