Texas’ Joseph Schooling upset a pair of record holders to win the 200-yard fly tonight at the NCAA Division I Men’s Championships.
After taking down the 100-yard fly last night, Schooling swept the butterfly events with a time of 1:39.62 for the win. That moved Schooling to third all time in the event’s history. He just so happens to have beaten the two ahead of him.
The top 200 butterflier of all time, Jack Conger of Texas with a 1:39.31 during a time trial at Big 12s, took second tonight in 1:39.74. Michigan’s Dylan Bosch, who owns the NCAA record with a 1:39.33 from last year, took third in 1:40.12 in what proved to be an exciting final.
