NCAA Div. I Men: Ohio State Beats West Virginia, Louisville
COLUMBUS, Ohio, November 10. BILL Wadley, Ohio State men's swimming head coach, earned his 124th and 125th victories at the helm of Ohio State Friday evening with wins over West Virginia and Louisville.
In a double-dual meet, the Buckeyes were victorious over the Mountaineers, 139-96, and defeated Louisville, 175-55. The wins raise the team's 2002-03 record to 3-0.
Tommy Seay (So., Buffalo, N.Y./McKinley) led the way for Ohio State as a three-way winner in the 200 individual medley (1:54.14), the 100 freestyle (46.50) and was a part of the team's 400 freestyle relay win (3:07.39).
Fellow sophomore Andy Swonger (So., Springfield, Ohio/ Springfield North) also had a strong meet placing second in the 50 freestyle (21.40) and contributing to Buckeye victories in the 400 medley relay (3:29.42) and the 400 freestyle relay.
Junior Andreas Campioni (Erfurt, Germany/University of Nebraska) contributed as well, winning the 200 backstroke (1:56.53) and participated in the team's 400 medley relay win.
Wadley has posted a 125-20 record in 13 seasons as coach of the Buckeyes and holds a 149-30 record overall.
