NC State Swim & Dive Announces Post-Season Awards
The NC State swimming and diving team hosted its annual team banquet April 29th, where it celebrated its historic 2016-17 season.
The team gathered with friends and family to recognize and honor the accomplishments achieved during one of its most successful campaigns in program history. The men’s season was highlighted by a tremendous post-season, where the team won its third-straight ACC title and tied its highest ever NCAA finish, placing fourth. The women’s squad clinched its first ACC title since 1980, ending Virginia’s nine year streak, and placed seventh at the NCAA championships to earn its highest finish ever.
The coaching staff also announced the team captains for the 2017-18 season. Courtney Caldwell, Krista Duffield and Bailey Revels were selected to lead the women’s program, while Ryan Held, Hennessey Stuart and Quinlan Stuart were chosen as the men’s team captains for next season.
