NC State Gets Another Verbal For 2023 From Butterflyer Bella Answeeney
NEW COMMIT: NC State has added yet another weapon to its already-loaded recruiting class for 2023, this time landing a verbal commitment from Bella Answeeney of Odessa, Florida.
She will join Madeleine Hebert, Tyler Driscoll, Abby Woolford, Hayley Clark and Keelan Cotter in Raleigh as a member of the Wolfpack’s Class of 2027.
Her best times include:
- 100 fly – 54.06
- 200 fly – 1:57.34
- 100 back – 55.94
- 200 back – 2:00.55
- 100 free – 51.91
- 200 free – 1:51.94
Answeeney trains year-round with Team Velocity and placed 20th in the 100 fly at Juniors East back in December. She also collected seven gold medals at the AAU Junior Olympics last summer.
A rising senior at George Steinbrenner High School, Answeeney is a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.
Answeeney’s top time in the 200 fly is already fast enough to score in the B-final at last season’s conference meet for the Wolfpack. NC State finished second overall in the team standings at the 2022 ACC Championships behind Virginia.
