NBC Sports Network to Air Historic Olympic Moments For Two Weeks in Quarantine
With no live sports happening for the foreseeable future because of the coronavirus pandemic around the world and the Olympic Games being pushed back another year, NBC Sports Network will be airing two weeks of Olympic highlights starting Monday April 13. In a press release from NBC, viewers will return to the Rio 2016 Games for three days and then to London 2012 starting April 16.
Swimming’s big moment will come on Wednesday April 15 with the best of the best from the Rio Games, and on Friday April 17 with the best of the best from the London Games. There will be a one hour Michael Phelps special on Tuesday, April 14 at 10 p.m. EST, and again on Monday, April 20 at 8:30 p.m. EST.
On Sunday April 19, NBC will air the official Olympic film from London 2012.
The following week, viewers will travel back to the 2008 Beijing Games for two days. To finish off the week on Wednesday April 22, the network will air men’s and women’s basketball classics, and on Friday will air the best of the best in women’s gymnastics.
