NBAC’s Megan Drumm Will Become a Wildcat with 2020 Verbal to Kentucky
NEW COMMIT: Forest Hill, Md. native and current high school junior Megan Drumm has announced her verbal commitment to the University of Kentucky as a member of the class of 2024.
Drumm swims year-round with North Baltimore Aquatic Club and owns a pair of U.S. Open cuts with two additional Summer Junior standards. She most recently competed at the Maryland Senior Championships where she won three events and achieved five new personal best times. At Buffalo Speedo Sectionals last March, she earned gold in the 50m/100m free and took bronze in the 200m free. She also concluded her long course season with two finals appearances at Junior Nationals this past summer.
She told Swimming World:
“I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to University of Kentucky!!! I can’t wait to continue my swimming and academic career with such an amazing team! Go Cats!!”
Her best times include:
- 50 free – 23.10
- 100 free – 49.59
- 200 free – 1:47.21
- 100 fly – 55.73
Even with 1.5 years of club swimming still to go, Drumm will make an immediate impact in the Wildcats’ sprint freestyle group when she arrives in Lexington next fall. She would’ve scored in the C-final of both the 100 free and 200 free at the 2019 SEC Championships where Kentucky finished third overall in the team standings.
