Nao Horomura Captures 200 Fly Title at 2015 FINA World Junior Championships

Japan’s Nao Horomura turned on the afterburners down the stretch to win the men’s 200-meter fly at the 2015 FINA World Junior Championships.
Horomura closed on Russia’s Daniil Pakhomov with a winning time of 1:56.80. Pakhomov faded to second in 1:56.93.
Both swimmers fell half-a-second off Andrew Seliskar’s meet record of 1:56.42 set back in 2013.
USA’s Mike Thomas placed third overall in a time of 1:57.61.

[table “” not found /]Italy’s Giacomo Carini (1:58.04), USA’s Zach Harting (1:59.42), Bulgaria’s Antani Ivanov (1:59.93), Hungary’s Mark Tekauer (2:00.51) and New Zealand’s Wilrich Coetzee (2:00.62) finished fourth through eighth.
