Tancock spent most of 2013 trying to pinpoint the cause of pain in both of his shoulders, not a good feeling for the world record holder in the 50 backstroke. He talked about the various specialists who tried to diagnose his injuries before discovering that the source of the pain was not in his shoulders, but in his hips. After a few months of full training in Loughborough, it appeared that Tancock was not going to get the chance to defend his Commonwealth titles in the 50 and 100 backstroke. But he talked about the additional criteria that allowed him to be on Team England’s roster for this summer’s big meet. Be sure to visit SwimmingWorld.TV for more video interviews.
