Pieroni’s 43.37 in the 100 free was a big part of Chesterton’s ability to break the three-minute barrier in the 400-yard free relay, and he talks about setting the goal to post the time in his sophomore year. He also talks about breaking the public school record in the 200 medley relay and the tradition of fast swimming at Chesterton. Pieroni is now in Bloomington, Ind., to get in some early work before the official start of his freshman year as a Hoosier, and he talks about the decision to do so.
