Coutts, who won five gold medals at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, said she is anxious to get married and start a family, and she is so anxious that she nearly considered retiring before the 2016 Olympics. She said the decision to get married less than a year before the Rio Olympics convinced her to go for one more shot at Olympic glory, but Glasgow will be the final time she races at the Commonwealth Games. In this video conducted before she departed Australia for Scotland, she talked about training for competition and her chances of being on the freestyle relays despite not racing the 100 or 200 freestyles at the selection meet.
