Mizzou Snags Verbal Commit From NC 4A State Champ Ana Pozder
NEW COMMIT: Ana Pozder has announced her verbal commitment to swim for the University of Missouri. A 2016 Olympic Trials Qualifier and a two-time Scholastic All-American, Pozder competes for Apex High School in Apex, NC. At the 2017 NCHSAA 4A State Championships Pozder claimed a state title in the 500 free (4:48.48) and placed 3rd in the 200 free (1:49.22).
Pozder does her year-round swimming for the TAC Titans. At 2016 Speedo Winter Juniors East she finaled in the 500 free (sixth—4:46.88) and finished 12th in the 1650 (16:34.76). At the 2017 NCSA Spring Championships she finished fifth in the 1000 free (9:49.28) and the 1650 free (16:23.97), 13th in the 500 free (4:49.45) and 17th in the 400 IM (4:19.04).

At the 2017 SEC Championships Pozder’s best times would have placed her 16th in the 1650, and earned her a second swim in the 500 free C final. She will join a distance training group led by Courtney Evenson who will be a senior when Pozder arrives in Columbia.
Allison Bloebaum and Danielle Helper are also verbally committed to the Tigers.
