Mitch Larkin Demolishes Own World Leading 200 Backstroke Time

Mitch Larkin dominated the 200 backstroke in 1:53.90 at the 2016 Australian Championships tonight. That time improved Larkin’s own world leading 1:54.68 from Semi-Finals.
Joshua Beaver stopped the clock at 1:56.19, also under Australia’s Olympic qualifying time. Matson Lawson was third in 1:59.37, the only other swimmer under two minutes.
China’s Jiayu Xu is currently second in the world with a 1:54.79 while Ryan Murphy sits in third in 1:54.94.
