Mission Viejo’s Jessica Epps Hands Verbal Commitment to UCLA
NEW COMMIT: Mission Viejo Nadadores’ Jessica Epps will stay in California for college, giving her verbal commitment to the University of California at Los Angeles. A senior at Tesoro High School, Epps is a three time NISCA All-American. She’s also a two time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.
Epps is a really well rounded IMer who is fairly strong across the board. Fly is probably her top stroke. Her best times are:

- 100 Free 50.82
- 200 Free 1:49.76
Epps was a key piece of Tesoro’s second place team showing at the CIF Southern Section Division 1 Championships. At that meet she was the runner up in the 200 IM and touched fifth in the 100 fly.
She was a 2016 Olympic Trials qualifier in the 400 IM. At World Championship Trials this summer Epps swam both IMs and the 200 fly.
Also suiting up for the Bruins next fall will be Mara Newman, Emma Smethurst, and Abriana Howard.
