Miranda Tucker Not Eligible to Swim for Michigan This Season
Miranda Tucker announced after her freshman season at Indiana that she was transferring to Michigan. At Winter Nationals in December, Tucker explained that because of some health issues she has to deal with, she wanted to be stay to home.
But regardless of all those reasons, Tucker will still not be able to compete for the Wolverines this season, a spokesman from the University of Michigan confirmed Friday to Swimming World. She is training with Club Wolverine and said in the above video that she planned to begin taking classes at the University this month.
During her time with the Hoosiers, Tucker finished third in the 100 breast and second in the 200 breast at the 2016 NCAA championships. The Michigan women have had a resurgent season, and Tucker figures to be a big boost to the cause in 2017-2018.
Miranda will continue to be a positive role model for her team mates and younger swimmers, when she is eligible to swim as a Wolverine she will be a formidable member of the team! #GoBlue !
