Michigan State Earns Verbal from YMCA National Finalist Evan Stanislaw
NEW COMMIT: Freestyler and backstroker Evan Stanislaw of Simpsonville, S.C. has announced his verbal commitment to Michigan State University and will arrive in East Lansing in the fall of 2020.
Stanislaw does his club swimming with Y-Spartaquatics Swim Club under head coach Dan Mascolo and owns the Winter Juniors standard in the 50m free. He capped off a successful long course season with 100% best times at YMCA LCM Nationals this past summer where his highest finish was a sixth-place showing in the 50m free. The USA Swimming Scholastic All-American took sixth in the 100 fly and seventh in the 50 free as a sophomore after finishing 14th in both the 100 free and 100 back during his freshman season.
