Michigan Picks Up Verbal Commit From YMCA National Champ Megan Glass
NEW COMMIT: Blue Ash YMCA’s Megan Glass has verbally committed to swim for the University of Michigan’s Class of 2023. Glass is from Cincinnati, Ohio, where she is a junior at Ursuline Academy.
At YMCA Nationals earlier this month Glass won the 200 butterfly in a new lifetime best, and topped the 100 fly, just off her lifetime best, set sophomore year at her high school state championship meet. She also followed that up with a third place finish in the 200 freestyle, and a seventh place finish in the 200 IM, both of those swims also setting new lifetime bests.
Her best times are:
- 100 Fly 53.34
- 200 Fly 1:58.05
- 200 Free 1:48.06
- 100 Free 50.41
- 50 Free 23.69
At February’s Big Ten Championships Glass’ best 100 and 200 butterfly times would have been good for points in the B final.
“I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and swimming careers at the University of Michigan in the class of 2023! I cannot thank my family, friends, teammates, and coaches enough for getting me to this point. I cannot wait to be a part of such an amazing team and school! Go blue!!”
