Michael Chadwick Celebrates NCAAs with Proposal to Girlfriend
Fresh off a successful NCAA championship meet, Missouri senior Michael Chadwick flew from Indiana to Laguna Beach, Calif., where he proposed to girlfriend Cassi Diya. The two celebrated their new engagement with family and friends on the scenic Victoria Beach in Laguna Beach.
Chadwick had finished second in the 100 free at NCAAs, his time of 40.95 improving him to fourth all-time in the event. He also tied for fourth in the 50 free and anchored the Tigers to a third-place finish in the 400 medley relay. He led Missouri to a ninth-place finish in the team race.
Chadwick explained to Swimming World’s Annie Grevers that he held on to the ring for three months prior to proposing.
