Miami Hurricanes Sweep Up Commitment from Futures Qualifier Kaitlyn Bitting
NEW COMMIT: Sinking Spring, Pa. native and Futures qualifier Kaitlyn Bitting will head to the Sunshine State next fall after giving her verbal pledge to the University of Miami.
She will join Ariana Brattoli, Camille Weiss, Emily Grasso, Lucy Miller and Jacey Hinton as a member of the Canes’ class of 2025.
In Summer 2019, Bitting finished eighth in the 100m breast at Middle Atlantic LCM Seniors before going on to earn three best times at Geneva Futures. She also finaled in the 200 fly at YMCA SCY Nationals after winning the 400 IM at the Pennsylvania YMCA Championships.

Her best times include:
- 100 breast – 1:05.12
- 200 breast – 2:23.37
- 100 fly – 56.89
- 200 fly – 2:05.01
- 200 IM – 2:07.35
- 400 IM – 4:27.63
Also competing for Wilson High School, Bitting has raced at the Pennsylvania 3A State Championships all three years so far. She placed 15th in the 100 breast as a junior while racing the 100 fly and 200 IM during her sophomore season.
When she arrives on campus next fall, Brattoli will add her talents to a breaststroke and IM group led by Zorry Mason and Andrea Todorovic.
