McKenna stresses that even though the Emory women’s team has won five straight titles, no one on the team is assuming that number six is a given. Newsum-Schoenberg also says the school’s swim complex is an amazing place to train and was influential in her choosing Emory.
Also discussed is how the athletes in Emory’s swim program understand the program’s legacy and work very hard every day to help preserve it. Finally, she discuses what she has to do at the end of season to get the most from her swims. McKenna Newsum-Schoenberg is a six time All-American for Emory University with several top 8 finishes at the NCAA Division 3 level.
