Max Litchfield Works On His Trick-Shot Game In Isolation After Positive Covid Test In Abu Dhabi
Two-time Olympian Max Litchfield has tested positive for Covid-19 and is currently isolating in Abu Dhabi.
The four-time European medallist posted on social media that he had withdrawn from the 400IM at the World Short-Course Championships on Monday but was “healthy and asymptomatic”.
David Hemmings, Litchfield’s coach at Loughborough NTC, said the swimmer had to isolate for 10 days through Christmas and reposted his TikTok showing Litchfield attempting – and mostly succeeding – several trick shots.
Covid has cut a swathe through the meet with Litchfield’s teammate Tom Dean – the Olympic 200 free champion – forced to withdraw after coming into close contact with someone who later tested positive.
