Peru’s Mauricio Fiol Villanueva, who popped a positive test for the substance Stanozolol during the 2015 Pan American Games last summer, has been suspended for four years according to a release from FINA.
Fiol had already turned in a 52.25 in the 100-meter fly and a 1:55.15 in the 200-meter fly. The time in the 200 fly had earned him a silver in the contest, which will now be forfeited to Canada’s Zack Chetrat. Canada’s Alec Page, meanwhile, moves from fourth to third in the 200 fly.
Fiol was booted from the Pan American Games last summer after his positive test.
