Mariia Kameneva Clips Rikako Ikee For 50 Free Crown at 2015 FINA World Junior Championships

Russia’s Mariia Kameneva just missed the meet record in the women’s 50-meter free at the 2015 FINA World Junior Championships.

Kameneva hit the wall in 25.12, just ahead of Japan’s Rikako Ikee’s second-place time of 25.19.

Both swims came up short of Rozaliya Nasretdinova’s 2013 meet record of 25.02.

Australia’s Shayna Jack placed third overall in 25.24.

Russia’s Daria S. Ustinova (25.39), China’s Tang Yuting (25.59), Hungary’s Flora Molnar (25.59), USA’s Ashley Volpenhein (25.68) and USA’s Lauren Pitzer (25.93) also competed in the finale.
