Make It Three For Louisville as Clara Baggett Commits
EVANSVILLE, Indiana, September 25. Newburgh Sea Creature Clara Baggett joined Sophie Cattermole and Mallory Comerford in picking the University of Louisville for her collegiate destination.
Baggett, who preps at Reitz High School in Indiana, is ranked the fifth-best recruit in the State of Indiana by CollegeSwimming.com.
“I chose the University of Louisville because I finally got “the feeling” in my heart that it was the right choice for me,” Baggett posted on CollegeSwimming.com about her commitment. “I love the coaches, team, and facilities and I am confident that the support and opportunities there will help guide me to success in and out of the pool. I can’t wait to be a Cardinal!”
Louisville head coach Arthur Albiero is definitely stockpiling talent, especially with some freestyle depth, as Baggett brings with her a 23.25 in the 50-yard free and a 50.46 in the 100-yard free.
Baggett is looking for a breakthrough in her long course training, however, with her best times being a 26.89 in the 50-meter free and a 58.64 in the 100-meter free from back in 2011. There’s little doubt that Albiero can get her there considering some of the amazing talent he’s coached out of Louisville.
