Magnolia Aquatic Club’s Presley Heitzmann Selects McKendree University
NEW COMMIT: Magnolia, Texas native Presley Heitzmann has decided to continue her academic and swimming career at McKendree University beginning in the fall of 2021.
She told Swimming World:
“I am super excited to finally announce that I will be furthering my academic and athletic career at Mckendree University in the fall. Thank you to my family, friends, coaches, teammates, and everyone else who has been there for me throughout my journey. I love you all so much and… Go Bearcats!!”
A talented breaststroker, Heitzmann trains year-round with Magnolia Aquatic Club and raced four events at College Station Sectionals last February after finaling in two events at TWST Southern Seniors. In Summer 2019, she raced to 19th place in the 200m breast at Southern Zone Seniors.
Her best times include:
- 50 breast – 31.90
- 100 breast – 1:06.94
- 200 breast – 2:25.50
- 200 IM – 2:12.30
Also competing for Magnolia High School, Heitzmann is a three-time individual Texas 5A State Championships finalist. She finished 13th in the 100 breast as a junior while taking seventh in that event as well as 16th in the 200 IM during her sophomore season.
Heitzmann will add valuable breaststroke depth when she suits up for the Bearcats as a member of the Class of 2025. She would’ve scored in the B-final of the 100 breast and 200 breast at the 2020 Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships where McKendree finished fifth overall in the team standings.
