Lotte Friis Vaults To 5th All Time in 1650 Free
AUSTIN – Lotte Friis, still wondering whether she will be able to stay in the U.S., smashed the 1650 free tonight at the American Short Course Championships.
While NBAC teammate Allison Schmitt has been getting most of the press this week in Austin, Friis has been getting her feet wet with some fast-yard swims. Tonight, she shot to fifth all time in the women’s 1650-yard free with a stunning 15:30.84. Notably, teammates Becca Mann (15:48.04) and Sierra Schmidt (15:57.89) finished second and third.
