Lotte Friis Now Headed to North Baltimore to Train With Bob Bowman
BALTIMORE, Maryland, August 31. NORTH Baltimore Aquatic Club head coach Bob Bowman definitely likes his horses, but now you might as well start calling him the Swimmer Whisperer as international swimmers from all around the planet are beginning to make the move to Baltimore.
Yannick Agnel, an Olympic gold medalist, recently made the switch to Baltimore and had a successful summer that included a pair of world titles in Barcelona. Today, according to a report by Simma.nu, Denmark’s Lotte Friis announced she’s reached an agreement with Bowman to relocate to Baltimore.
Friis had an outstanding summer with silvers in the 800 and 1500-meter freestyles in Barcelona behind USA’s Katie Ledecky, and now Friis will have the chance to compete against Ledecky on a regular basis in the United States.
With a stable that includes Conor Dwyer, Agnel, Chase Kalisz, Allison Schmitt and Tom Luchsinger, NBAC is rounding into form as another super group along the likes of Trojan Swim Club and SwimMAC Carolina.
