Longhorns Add 2023 Verbals From Olympic Trials Qualifiers Alexa Fulton, Campbell Stoll
NEW COMMITS: The University of Texas has picked up two new verbal commitments for the fall of 2023 from Exton, Penn. native Alexa Fulton and Campbell Stoll of Hartland, Wis.
Both talented swimmers will join Angie Coe, Emma Kern, Jillian Cox, Berit Berglund and Erin Gemmell as a member of the Longhorns’ Class of 2027.
ALEXA FULTON
Regarding her commitment, she said:
“I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Texas!! I want to thank my family, coaches, and friends for supporting me through this whole process. Can’t wait to be a longhorn #HOOKEM”
Fulton trains year-round with Upper Main Line YMCA and most recently placed fifth in the 100 free and eighth in the 50 free at the Speedo Winter East Championships. This past summer, she raced the 50m free at Wave I Olympic Trials before going on to win that event at the YMCA Virtual Festival.
Her best times include:
- 50 free – 22.65
- 100 free – 49.27
- 200 free – 1:49.33
- 100 fly – 54.56
Currently a junior at Downington East High School, Fulton won both the 50 and 100 free at the 2021 Pennsylvania 3A State Championships. The USA Swimming Scholastic All-American finished third and fourth, respectively, in those events during her rookie campaign.
CAMPBELL STOLL
Regarding her commitment, she said:
“I am so humbled and excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Texas. I am incredibly blessed to thank my family, friends, teammates, coaches and God for helping me get to where I am. Can’t wait to be a longhorn! HOOK EM’ HORNS”
Stoll is a member of the USA Swimming National Junior Team and swims for Elmbrook Swim Club. She raced to 11th in the 200m IM at Wave I Olympic Trials this past summer before going on to earn bronze in that event as well as silver in the 100m fly at the Speedo Summer West Championships.

- 50 free – 23.44
- 100 free – 50.72
- 200 free – 1:50.68
- 100 fly – 52.81
- 200 fly – 1:56.14
- 100 back – 53.40
- 200 back – 1:55.88
- 100 breast – 1:01.51
- 200 breast – 2:12.76
- 200 IM – 1:58.76
- 400 IM – 4:14.96
Also competing for Arrowhead High School, Stoll won the 100 fly and 200 IM at the 2021 Wisconsin DI State Championships. The USA Swimming Scholastic All-American collected the gold medal in both of those events as a freshman, too.
Under head coach Carol Capitani, the Longhorns won their 10th-straight Big 12 team title in 2021.
The Longhorns are bringing in an impressive Class of 2026 that includes Emily Carpenter, Sienna Schellenger, Meghan DiMartile, Lydia Jacoby, Chase Davison and Lindsey Hosch.
