Jonathan Yang has chosen to stay in the Atlanta area and has given his verbal commitment to Georgia Tech. Yang lives in Lawrenceville, Georgia and swims for Dynamo Swim Club.
His best times are:
- 100 Breast 55.98
- 200 Breast 2:00.90
- 200 IM 1:55.66
- 400 IM 4:12.11
At Junior Nationals East last year, Yang swam both breaststroke events with his highest finish (16th) coming in the 200 breaststroke.
At ACCs last year, the Yellow Jackets finished fifth. With his best time in the 200 breaststroke, Yang’s best time would have placed him as first alternate, just outside scoring range. The team was led by Moises Loschi (1:55.35) last year. He’ll be a senior when Yang gets to campus in the fall. Alexander Kimpel (1:55.98) will also be a returner in that breaststroke group. Yang is also a half second out of 100 breaststroke scoring range. With a year of training with his new teammates, he could move into scoring times.
