ALPHARETTA, Georgia, May 29. DYNAMO Swimming triplets Kevin, Jay and Mick Litherland were recently featured by Atlanta’s NBC affiliate 11Alive.com, and made a bit of news while taking part in the TV spot.
On top of the already known quantity that the Litherlands will be the first triplets to ever swim on scholarship at the University of Georgia, the trio explained that they have options when it comes to trying to make the Olympics. Although all three “recently received United States citizenship,” their mother is a Japanese citizen and their father is of New Zealand decent. That means all three could wind up on three separate teams if they chose to make that attempt. Although, they would prefer to swim on the same U.S. team together.
