Liam Murray Leading Swimming World Instagram Takeover By the University of Southern Indiana
The next edition of the Swimming World Instagram Takeover is just a day away, with the University of Southern Indiana’s Liam Murray ready to take the helm of our social-media account. The Takeover is part of a weeklong event in which USI will be headlined on Swimming World’s Instagram account, with Murray capping things on Friday.
As part of Motivational Monday, the Southern Indiana coaching staff, headed by Cameron Kainer, will answer the question: What’s your favorite type of swimmer to coach? Expect answers that go beyond physical traits, but also examine some of the mental attributes that define a coachable athlete.
On Wednesday, members of the Southern Indiana program will tackle the question: Would you rather do a 200-yard set of freestyle or stroke. It will be interesting to see if the answers are mixed and how the replies reflect the athletes’ specialties.
On Friday, Murray will get behind the keyboard and take followers into a day in the life of a swimmer at the University of Southern Indiana. Murray is a freshman for the Screaming Eagles who hails from Indianapolis and competed at the high school level for Franklin Central. He is majoring in psychology.
First year program. First year in NCAA D1. No football team which is fantastic. Unlike my alma mater, East Carolina University which cut their program to fund football.
