Lauryn Johnson, Lindsay Stenstrom Verbally Commit to UCLA Bruins

NEW COMMIT: High school juniors Lauryn Johnson and Lindsay Stenstrom have both given their verbal commitments to swim for the UCLA Bruins beginning in fall 2019.

Lauryn Johnson

Johnson is from Rockville Centre, New York and trains with Long Island Aquatic Club. She’s a junior at Sacred Heart Academy in Hempstead.

A USA Swimming and a NISCA All-American, Johnson is primarily a butterflier and freestyler. Her top times are:

  • 200 Fly 1:59.47
  • 100 Fly 54.97
  • 50 Fly 25.51
  • 1000 Free 10:00.97
  • 500 Free 4:50.84
  • 200 Free 1:49.41

Lindsay Stenstrom

Stenstrom is a junior at Valor Christian High School and trains with Denver Swim Academy.

A NISCA All-American, her sophomore year she won the Colorado 4A 50 free state title. This year she was a part of Valor Christian’s 200 and 400 freestyle relay state championship teams. Those relays also took down state records.
