Lady Vols Add Indiana State 100 Breast Champion Sammy Huff to Class of 2025
Sammy Huff announces her verbal commitment to the Lady Vols.
NEW COMMIT: Noblesville, Ind. native Sammy Huff has announced her verbal commitment to the University of Tennessee and will join the Lady Vols as a member of their growing class of 2025.
She’ll arrive in Knoxville for the start of the 2021-22 season along with Cory Shanks, Amber Myers, Sara Stotler, Kate McCarville, Lauren Wetherell, Summer Eaker, Josephine Fuller, Summer Smith and Asia Minnes.
Regarding her commitment, she said:
“I couldn’t be more excited to announce that I will be continuing my academic and swimming career at the University of Tennessee!! I’m so thankful for all of my friends, family, and coaches that have helped me get here!#govols #rockytop”
A talented breaststroker, Huff swims year-round with Noblesville Swim Club and is a Junior National qualifier. She raced both breaststroke events at Juniors East in December and placed sixth in the 100 breast at Phoenix Sectionals in March 2019. Last summer, she registered six best times at Indiana LCM Seniors where her highest finish was a 10th-place showing in the 100m breast.
Her best times include:
- 100 breast – 1:02.79
- 200 breast – 2:20.15
- 200 IM – 2:05.55
Also competing for Noblesville High School, Huff is a four-time Indiana State Championship finalist. The USA Swimming Scholastic All-American won the 100 breast and placed 11th in the 200 IM while taking fourth in her signature event during her sophomore season.
