Kristof Rasovszky, Haley Anderson win Setubal Marathon World Series
Hungary’s Kristof Rasovszky and Haley Anderson of the U.S. were the fastest in Setubal (POR) on Saturday June 9, on the occasion of the third FINA/HOSA Marathon Swim World Series 2018.
Rasovszky touched home first in 1h55m57s53 to clinch the gold, while Mario Sanzullo of Italy took silver, clocking a time of 1h56m22s33. Closely behind Jack Burnell completed the podium in 1h56m23s22.
It was Burnell’s second medal of the season after the Seychelles, while it was Rasovszky first gold and podium after ranking 12 and 20 in the Seychelles and Doha respectively.
In the women’s race, Anderson (USA) pocketed the gold clocking a time of 2h05m18s89. Right behind her was Olympic champion of the Netherlands who touched home in 2h05m20s26, taking her second medal of the season after a gold in Doha’s opening race. Kareena Lee of Australia completed the podium in 2h05m22s25.
