Kelly Pash Sets Best Time in 400 IM Among Two Wins in LCM Meet with TCU
Kelly Pash set a best time in the 400 individual medley and also won the 100 free on Texas’s senior day Friday, an unscored long-course meters meet with TCU. Friday’s meet was a tune-up to Saturday’s Jill Sterkel Classic.
Pash went 4:45.50 in the 400 IM, a best time for her. She also clocked in at 55.11 seconds in the 100 freestyle to win.
Olivia Bray won twice, claiming the 100 butterfly in 58.24 and the 200 free in 2:00.79. Angie Coe won the 200 backstroke in 2:14.69 and the 200 UM in 2:17.89. She was also second in the 50 free in 25.77, an event that Ava Longi won in a career-best 25.50.
In breaststroke, Lydia Jacoby’s time of 1:06.91 edged Anna Elendt by three tenths in the 100. Elendt’s time of 1:07.21 is a season-best. The German Elendt won the 200 in 2:30.02. Jacoby split 29.80 on the 200 medley relay, with Texas going 1:51.21. Berit Berglund, Emma Sticklen and Erin Gemmell comprised that squad.
Gemmell turned in a time of 4:12.50 to win the 400 free, four seconds up on Erica Sullivan. Bridget O’Neil won both diving events, scoring 398.18 on 3-meter. Alicia Wilson went 1:01.70 to edge Berglund in the 100 back.
On the men’s side, Texas went 1-2 in the 200 free. Coby Carrozza won in 1:48.95, followed by Nate Germonprez. Germonprez won the 100 free in 50.84, .13 up on Carrozza.
Alec Enyeart won the 400 IM in 4:31.64 and the 400 free in 3:59.74. Sterling Crane was quickest in both fly events. Will Modglin was second in the 100 fly after winning the 100 back in 55.22. He led off both winning Longhorns’ relays.
TCU’s Guilherme Camossato was fastest in both breaststroke events.
