Keaton Jones Visits Social Kick Podcast to Discuss Future, Including Ice Swimming Plans
To say the American tradition in the backstroke events is rich would be an understatement, given the United States’ accomplishments in the 100 backstroke and 200 backstroke at the Olympic Games. Through the years, the likes of Adolph Kiefer, John Naber, Aaron Peirsol and Ryan Murphy – among others – have flourished in the backstroke, earning Olympic titles during their careers.
Now, Keaton Jones is being viewed as an athlete with the ability to carry the banner for Team USA in the 200 backstroke, an event in which he qualified for last summer’s Olympic Games in Paris via a second-place finish at the United States Trials. At the Games, Jones finished fifth in the 200 backstroke, about a half-second off the podium. Jones recently visited the Social Kick Podcast to discuss his summer achievements and future in the sport.
Additionally, Jones took time to chat with the hosts – Bryan Lundquist and Luke Paddington – about his love for ice swimming, where he’s become a world champion. While his focus is on additional Olympic success, Jones plans on pursuing ice swimming into the future, including early next year at the World Champs.
Swimming World is thrilled to partner with the Social Kick Podcast to provide fans around the world with superb interviews with some of the sport’s biggest names.
