Katie Meili, Jimmy Feigen Among Headliners at 2015 Bolzano International Swim Meet
The 2015 Bolzano International Swim Meet will feature another handful of strong swimmers, including Katie Meili and Jimmy Feigen from the United States.
Meili had a strong outing last year in Italy as she broke a pair of meet records in the 50 and 100-meter breaststroke before going on to win gold at the Pan American Games.
Feigen, an Olympic silver medalist, recently changed training locations to swim alongside Meili at SwimMAC.
Additionally, a trio of Brazilians are headed to Bolzano for this meet as Guilherme Guido, Henrique Rodrigues and Jhennifer Conceicao are all set to compete in Italy next month.
Guido is the top backstroker in South American, holding the 100-meter back continental record. Rodrigues won a pair of gold medals this summer in Toronto at the Pan American Games, while Conceicao is a two-time South American champion who won bronze at the Pan American Games.
Germany’s Alexandra Wenk is also slated to compete in Bolzano. Wenk will be coming down from altitude training, and could turn in some special swims.
Locally, Marco Orsi, Ilaria Scarcella and Laura Letrari are some of the top Italians set to swim.
