SwimMAC’s Katie Meili broke through the 1:07 barrier for the first time in her career during prelims of the Arena Pro Swim Series Charlotte.
Meili clocked a 1:06.79, which tied her for fourth in the world with Alia Atkinson, who clocked her time at the Arena Pro Swim Series in Orlando.
Only Yuliya Efimova (1:05.89), Ruta Meilutyte (1:05.99) and Kanako Watanabe (1:06.45) have been faster.
That swim also downed her previous best of 1:07.16 from the last stop in Mesa at the Arena Pro Swim Series.
