Katie Ledecky Rattles World Record in 400 Freestyle

Katie Ledecky was incredibly aggressive at the start and over two seconds ahead of world record pace at the 200 meter mark. While it escaped her at the end, she still posted a 3:58.98. Leah Smith was second in 4:00.65 and also challenged the world record mark at the halfway point. She swam a best time by over two seconds. The two posted the top two times in the world this year as they dominated the field.
Cierra Runge finished third in 4:07.04. Her training partner Allison Schmitt was fifth with a 4:09.25. Lindsay Vrooman was fourth in 4:08.99.
Stephanie Peacock outtouched Hannah Moore 4:09.53 to 4:09.54. Hannah Cox was eighth in 4:09.72.
