Karly Boles Verbals To SMU With Team-Leading Times

NEW COMMIT: Southern Methodist University has picked up a new verbal commitment for the 2025-26 season and beyond from Karly Boles of Ambler, Pennsylvania.

She will join AnneMarie Vlaic as a member of the Mustangs’ Class of 2029.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I am so grateful for this opportunity and thankful for all who have helped me along the way! PONY UP!!”

Boles does her club swimming with Germantown Academy Aquatic Club and earned a pair of top-8 finishes at Providence Sectionals back in March. She earned two best times at Juniors East back in December.

Her best times include:

  • 200 free – 1:50.49
  • 500 free – 4:53.65
  • 1000 free – 10:16.71
  • 50 back – 25.58
  • 100 back – 54.70
  • 200 back – 1:58.82

Having just wrapped up her junior year at Germantown Academy, Boles placed fourth in both the 100 back and 200 free at the Eastern Interscholastic Championships this past season. She placed third in the 50 free and fourth in the 100 back during her sophomore season.

SMU will officially be part of the Atlantic Coast Conference on July 1. Boles’ best times in the 500 free and 1000 free would’ve ranked first on the team this past season while her 50 back and 100 back times would’ve ranked second.
