Juniors East Finalist Kennedi Dobson Selects Georgia For 2025
NEW COMMIT: The University of Georgia has secured a new verbal commitment for the 2025-26 season and beyond from Junior National qualifier Kennedi Dobson of Levittown, Pennsylvania.
She will join Hailey Dopson in Athens as a member of the Bulldogs’ Class of 2029.
Regarding her commitment, she said:
“I’m extremely excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at the University of Georgia! I want to thank my parents, coaches, and friends for supporting me through everything, and a special thank you to the UGA coaches for this opportunity!!! I cannot wait to be a part of this amazing team! GO DAWGS”
Dobson does her club swimming with Eastern Express Swim Team and most recently competed at Providence Sectionals where she won the 200 free, 500 free and 200 IM. Back in December, she placed fifth in the 200 free at Juniors East, also taking 17th in the 100 free and 18th in the 400 IM.
Her best times include:
- 200 free – 1:45.11
- 100 free – 49.07
- 50 free – 22.69
- 500 free – 4:45.45
- 200 back – 1:55.27
- 100 back – 55.14
- 200 IM – 1:58.66
- 400 IM – 4:17.31
Dobson is currently a junior at Neshaminy High School. She played softball for several years, recently stopping to turn her attention to swimming.
