Junior Pan Pac Medalist Ethan Ekk Commits To Stanford For 2025

NEW COMMIT: Junior Pan Pac medalist Ethan Ekk of Tallahassee, Florida, has announced his verbal commitment to Stanford University beginning in Fall 2025. He represents Canada on the international stage.

He will join Andy Kravchenko on The Farm as a member of the Cardinal’s Class of 2029.

Regarding his commitment, he said:

“I’m happy to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career @stanfordmswim. I want to thank God for giving me this opportunity and helping be who I am today. Thank you to @atac_swim and all the coaches that have helped me get to this point. To my friends and family thank you for supporting me and encouraging me along the way. Go Cards”

At the 2024 Pan Pac Championships, Ekk earned silver in the 200m free and bronze in the 200m back. He also placed seventh in the 200m IM and sixth in the 800m free.

He does his club swimming with Area Tallahassee Aquatic Club in Florida.

His best times include:

  • 200 free – 1:35.66
  • 500 free – 4:19.35
  • 1000 free – 8:56.73
  • 200 back – 1:43.81
  • 200 IM – 1:48.54
  • 400 IM – 3:49.26

Currently a senior at Lawton Chiles High School, Ekk won the 200 IM and 500 free at the 2023 Florida 3A State Championships. He placed fourth and second, respectively, in those events during his sophomore season.

The 2024-25 season marks Stanford’s first in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
